Anders Breivik, the man who killed 77 people during a mass shooting and bombing in Norway last July, has become an unwanted poster boy for Lacoste, which reportedly wrote to police requesting the gunman not wear its clothing.
According to the Guardian, which cited local Norway newspaper Dagbladet, Lacoste contacted the police prosecutor asking the force to bar Breivik from wearing the brand.
In photos dated July 25, Breivik is pictured wearing a red Lacoste sweater after leaving a courthouse. The French fashion label is easily identified by a signature small green crocodile stitched onto the left breast.
