Uxbridge residents will be able to explore one of the world’s most popular religions this weekend at a special open house at the Uxbridge Public Library. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association Canada, an auxiliary wing of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, will be returning to the library this Saturday, Aug. 20, between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
For the past several months, the group has been canvassing neighbourhoods throughout Canada, promoting peace, condemning terrorism and bringing awareness about peaceful Islam.
Residents will be able to ask questions they may have about Muslim practices, including What is Islam? What is the Holy Quran? What is the extra terrestrial life mentioned in Holy Quran? What is the status of women and their rights in Islam? What are the prophecies of the Holy Quran and What are the modern-day technologies mentioned in Holy Quran (printing presses, finger printing, stages of pregnancy), just to name a few.
Those who attend the open house will also be able to pick up valuable reading material, including copies of the Holy Quran.
