Senior Ahmadi Leader Sentenced to 6 Months Imprisonment

Jakarta Globe, Indonesia

A senior Amadiyah member was sentenced to six months imprisonment at the Serang District Court on Monday in relation to the violent mob attack that killed three other members of the minority sect on February 6.

Deden was convicted of inciting violence, obstruction of justice and disobedience after he refused police orders to evacuate when a group of Ahmadis were besieged by an angry mob at a home in Ciekusik, Banten.

He was among 20 Ahmadis who came to protect the home of an Ahmadiyah leader in Cikeusik, following rumors that locals wanted to forcibly disband the sect in the area.

The brutal attack involving about 1,500 hard-liners from surrounding villages left three Ahmadis dead and five, including

Deden, seriously injured.

  1. I don’t believe that Indonesia HAS a real ‘justice’ system in place. This skewed sentencing proves it beyond a doubt for it’s like adding salt to injury. Why is the victim being punished, anyway? For trying to protect our community members? What would the Indonesian ‘justice’ system have him do? Let the crazy mob incited by equally mad mullahs, destroy the whole community? What would the judge and prosecutor in this case have done if their own near and dear ones were being attacked? Did they give a thought in that direction?

  2. Allah is the best of Judges and the Judge of the lifeafter. It shows the level of injustice Ahmadis are going through.May Allah continue to protect this Jamaat..and Grant this man ease.Amin

  3. Wa ma karoo wa ma kara llahu wa Allahu kherul makreena.

The judges, the prosecutors and the persecutors should all be waiting for Allah’s judgment, He is an impartial and the best judge.
Let us all wait for Allah’s judgment and may Allah give our brother the fortitude and courage to bear this temporary miscarriage of judgement

  4. It is a sign of a decaying society that punishes innocent victims and declares them offenders. All this happening in the name of religious persecution. History repeats itself as innocent believers are forced to comply to the beliefs of those in leadership. These self proclaimed eliminators of so called heretics need to reflect at the darkness that they are drifting into. If they looked closely they would see that forgiveness will readily flow from the bossoms of these persecuted Muslim brothers and sisters whose philosophy is Love for All Hatred for None. They will ever be ready to forgive the evil enacted upon them. May ALLAH stop persecution forever and bring peace to this world. Amin

  5. Those innocents who are jailed are actually lucky people ,for Allah has great reward for them provided they have patience. May Allah give them more patience and keep them always obedient to the promised Khilafat, Ameen.

  6. ‘And who is more unjust than the man who prohibits the name of Allah being glorified in Allah’s mosques and seeks to destroy them?’ (2:115)

O ye who believe! be strict in observing justice, and be witnesses for Allah, even though it be against yourselves or against your parents or kindred. Whether he, against whom witness is borne, be rich or poor, Allah is more regardful of them both than you are. Therefore follow not your low desires that you may be able to act equitably. And if you hide the truth or evade it, then know that Allah is Well-Aware of what you do.
    Ch 4:136

  7. In the Holy Quran Allah Chapter 5 verse 9 Almighty says; “….and let not a people’s enmity incite you to act otherwise than with justice” but in this case the so called Muslim Judge has proved that he is not a true and righteous Muslim because it would be, than he couldn’t give such ruling which is totally against the teaching of Holy Quran. It is narrated in Hadith of Prophet Muhammad saw that once a dispute occurred between a Jew and a Muslim and after hearing the verdict from both sides prophet saw ruled in to favor of that Jew, although Jews were bitter enemies of Islam and prophet. Indonesian GOVT should learn lesson from the other countries that did this mistake and in result there is no rule of law and peace in society remain in those counties.

  8. Thanks be to Allah, for giving us the Muslim Times for we are able to cover the issue and the support we are gathering from Australia, USA, Israel and other sources, extensively!
