The military in Israel issued a call for battlefield rabbis in what is described as a campaign to promote religious values in frontline ranks.
The plan calls for a reserve army rabbi to be assigned to every battalion in the military's command with areas of responsibility that includes the borders of Lebanon and Syria.
The move was announced in “Bamahane,” the military’s official weekly magazine.
