Qatar quits Gulf Yemen plan due to delays, violence


DUBAI: Qatar withdrew from a Gulf-sponsored initiative aimed at resolving a crisis in Yemen because of stalling in signing a deal and continued violence, the state news agency QNA said on Thursday.

“Qatar was forced to take this action because of the stalling in signing the proposed agreement …, the continued escalation, the intensity of the confrontations,” QNA reported.
