A British imam has told ITV News more stringent checks are needed to prevent more teenagers fleeing to join Islamic State in Syria.
The comments come as police attempt to trace three schoolgirls who are feared to be travelling to Syria.
Shamima Begum, 15, and Kadiza Sultana, 16, have been missing since Tuesday, along with a third unnamed 15-year-old girl.
