Twenty-six mosques around France have been subject to attack by firebombs, gunfire, pig heads, and grenades as Muslims are targeted with violence in the wake of the Paris attacks.

France’s National Observatory Against Islamophobia reports that since last Wednesday a total of 60 Islamophobic incidents have been recorded, with countless minor encounters believed to have gone unreported.

Amongst the incidents, a mosque in Le Mans was hit with four grenades, and gunfire directed through one of its windows.

While Islamophobic incidents are nothing new, there appears to have been a marked increase in attacks in the wake of the shootings at the French satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo… independent.co.uk

  1. At least in the attacks nobody has been killed or harmed. But in Niger not less than 10 people have been killed and as many as 45 churches razed in a wave of Christianitophobia. Some of the victims mere horrendously murdered while worshiping in the Churches. Others were killed at recreational facilities. Their crime is being Christian and by non existent association linked to the cartoons which have nothing to do with Christianity, itself a constant object of ridicule of the Paris magazine.
While Western leaders are falling over themselves to show sympathy for the perceived victims of ‘islamophobia’, there has been no concern for the actual victims of hate crimes.
Several demonstrations have been held in solidarity with muhammadans in the West who are seen to have been unfairly maligned. But there has never been a single demonstration in any muhammadan town or hamlet to condemn the constant killing of Christians for offenses they know nothing about.
How are justice and fairness determined? Do they only apply to a small but overly noisy group?
If the killings in Paris had been carried out on muslims, the entire world would have been engulfed in a conflagration of unimaginable magnitude.
Those who complain about unfair treatment to muslims, stand condemned for remaining nonchalant as scores of Christians are slaughtered daily.

  2. Rafiq,
Actions are more concrete than mere platitudes or intellectual writings. Actions, all agree, speak louder than words.
Let TMT initiate demonstrations in support of and in solidarity with the victims of muhammadan terrorists.
Such a step will be more convincing than articles written in a website with restricted interest.
