[3:61]: This is the truth from thy Lord, so be thou not of those who doubt.

THQ11: Signs of Imam Mahdi

Let me present what Allah says in Qur’an-e-Majeed of the SIGNS OF THE LATER DAYS

Signs of the Later Days when coming of The Promised Messiah would happen are found in abundance in the Holy Qura’an:

Let me quote few verses from Surah Al-Takwir [81 Chapter]

But let us first understand the details on Date of Revelation and Context of this Chapter

This Surah was revealed early at Mecca, very probably in the 6th year of the Call or even earlier. The Preceding Chapters had dealt with the subject of Resurrection and the great and marvelous revolution which was brought about by the Holy Prophet (saw) among his people and which has also been called ‘resurrection’ in the Qur’an. This ‘resurrection’ was to take place twice, first by the advent of the Holy Prophet himself and then by his Second Advent in the person of a great Deputy of his – the Promised Messiah and Mahdi (as one person) – to which a clear reference in 62:4 which says, ‘And He [Allah] will raise him [The Promised Messiah] among others of them who have not yet joined them. He [Allah] is Mighty, the Wise.’

The reference in the above verse and in a well-known saying of the Holy Prophet (saw) is to the Second Advent of the Holy Prophet himself in the person of the Promised Messiah in the Latter Days.

World was in dire need of revelations from God for spiritual guidance at the time when our Holy Prophet (saw) had appeared in Arabia. All the laws & teachings of the previous prophets had been forgotten and man was living in the worst possible way.

In the same way, the Holy Prophet (saw) had predicted the ruining of Islam in the latter days and said, ‘A time would come when there would remain nothing of Qur’an but its words and nothing of Islam but its name, meaning, On the whole: the true spirit of Islam would be lost’ (Baihaqui). Thus the Qur’an and the Hadith, both agree that the present verse refers to the Second Advent of the Holy Prophet in the person of the Promised Messiah.

It is this second renaissance of Islam at the hands of the Promised Messiah and the great changes which were to take place in his time which this Surah [Al-Takwir] speaks of. It opens with a description of those changes and follows it up with a fleeting reference to the moral degeneration of Muslims at that time and to the causes thereof, and ends by Striking a note of optimism and cheerfulness to them, holding out to them the promise that eventually the night of the degradation of Muslims will give place to the dawn of their success, because Islam, being God’s last Message for the whole of mankind, has come to stay.

[81:1] In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.
[81:2] When the sun is folded up[1],
[81:3] And when the stars are obscured [2],
[81:4] And when the mountains are made to move [3],
[81:5] And when the she-camels, ten-month pregnant, are abandoned [4],

[81:6] And when the wild-beasts are gathered together [5],
[81:7] And when the rivers are drained away [6],
[81:8] And when various people are brought together [7],

[81:9] And when the girl-child buried alive is questioned about,
[81:10] ‘For what crime was she killed? [8]’

[81:11] And when Books are spread abroad [9].
[81:12] And when the Heaven is laid bare [10],

[81:13] And when the Hell-Fire is caused to blaze up [11],
[81:14] And when Paradise is brought nigh [12],

[81:15] Then every soul will know what it has brought forward [13].
[81:16] Nay! I call to witness those that recede while advancing,

[81:17] Rush ahead and then hide [14].
[81:18] And I call to witness the night as it draws to a close,

[81:19] And the dawn as it begins to breathe [15],
[81:20] That this is, surely, the word revealed to a noble Messenger [16],

[81:21] Possessor of power, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne,

[81:22] Entitled to obedience, and faithful to his trust [17].

[81:23] And your companion is not mad.
[81:24] And he assuredly saw Him [18] on the clear horizon.

[81:25] And he is not niggardly with respect to the unseen [19].

[81:26] Nor is this the word of Satan, the rejected.
[81:27] Whither, then, are you going?

[81:28] It is nothing but a Reminder unto all the worlds,

[81:29] Unto such among you as desire to go straight,
[81:30] While you desire not a thing except that Allah, the Lord of the worlds, desires it [20].

Details:

[1] It is generally said that the Surah deals with the Final Resurrection, when the laws and processes of nature as we know them will cease to operate. But its whole trend and tenor speak so clearly of the conditions which obtain in the physical world that some of the verses will lose all sense if they are taken as referring only to the Final Resurrection. In fact, the Surah speaks of the great changes that have already taken place in the material world and in human life since the time of the Holy Prophet (saw), particularly in our this own time. The verse may mean:

When there will be spiritual darkness all over the world-the light of the Spiritual Sun (The Holy Prophet [saw]) having become dim or disappeared altogether. Or, it may refer to the eclipses of the sun and the moon, which according to a well-known saying of the Holy Prophet, were to take place in the time of the Mahdi, in the month of Ramadan, a phenomenon which the world had never witnessed before (Qutni, p.188). These eclipses of the sun and the moon took place in 1894 exactly as foretold.

[2] Al’nujum (stars) signifies religious Ulema. This meaning is supported by a well-known saying of the Holy Prophet: ‘My Companions are like stars, whomsoever you will follow, you will receive right guidance’ (Baihaqui). So the verse may mean: When religious leaders will become corrupt and will cease to exercise any influence. The reference may also be to falling of the stars in exceptionally large numbers in the time of a Divine Reformer.

[3] When mountains will be blown away by dynamite and roads will be made through them; or metaphorically, when the authority of rulers will become undermined; the word Jabal meaning, the chief of a people (Lane).

[4]. ‘Ishar’ is the plural of ‘Ushara’ which means, a she-camel that has been ten-months with young. ‘Ishal’ is applied to she-camels until some of them have brought forth and others are expected to bring forth (Lane). The verse means that when she-camels will lose their importance even in Arabia The reference seems to be to the replacement of camels by better and swifter means of transport – railway trains, steamships, motor cars, airplanes, etc. There is a pointed reference to camels being replaced by other means of transport in a saying of the Holy Prophet (saw) which is to the effect: ‘The camels will be abandoned and will not be used for going from one place to another’ (Muslim).

[5] In view of the different meanings of the root-word Hushira (Lane), the verse would signify: When animals will be collected in zoos, or when primitive people will be settled in organized civil communities; or, when they will be compelled to leave their homelands.

[6]. The verse signifies: When the waters of rivers will be drained away for irrigation and other purposes; or, when in sea-fights very large ships will be set on fire and it would seem as if the seas had caught fire; or, when large oceans will be joined together by means of canals; or, when rural population will go into towns and cities will overflow with their inhabitants. The word, Sujjura, possesses all these meanings (Lane).

[7] Isn’t the world today referred as a ‘Global Village’? This ease of communication is predicted in this verse. Isn’t it amazing that a revelation in the seventh century Arabia could so accurately describe the details of the 21st century? Today the means of transport is so developed, and means of communication between peoples living in far off lands has become so easy that the phrase ‘Big-world’ doesn’t make much sense in this context.

[8] The burying or burning alive of girls will be made a capital crime.

[9] The reference seems to be to the vast circulation of newspapers, journals and books and to the system of libraries and reading rooms and such other places and means of spreading knowledge in the Latter Days.

[10] The verse may refer to the vast strides that the science of astronomy will make in the Latter Days. The advance in this branch of science during the past decade has startled the world.

[11] On account of the sinful and iniquitous conduct of man, God’s wrath will be kindled and a veritable hell will be let loose upon the world in the form of destructive wars.

[12] As in the Latter Days evil will abound and man will abandon himself to vice and the worship of Mammon, even a small act of righteousness will make him deserving of great reward and will draw him closer to Heaven.

[13] God’s special decree will come into force and the punishment of man’s evil deeds will take the form of widespread natural calamities.

[14] In the Latter Days Muslims will begin to decline from their position of eminence, as they will either rush forward headlong thoughtlessly to carry out their contemplated programmes; or will give up all creative and constructive efforts in despair.

[15] With the advent of the Reformer of the Latter Days the night of moral decline and degradation of Muslims will begin to depart, giving place to the dawn of a great and glorious future for Islam.

[16] The words, ‘a noble Messenger,’ refer to the Holy Prophet.

[17] All the five attributes – noble Messenger, possessor of power, enjoying a high rank before the Lord of the Throne, the one entitled to obedience, and faithful to his trust in the Sight of God, quite fittingly apply to the Holy Prophet.

[18] The pronoun ‘hu’ meaning ‘it’ (glorious future of Islam), or ‘him’ (the Holy Prophet), may signify in the first place the fulfillment of the prophecy about the glorious future of Islam and in the second place it mean that the Holy Prophet (saw) himself in the distant East in the person of the Promised Messiah.

[19] God has disclosed to the world great secrets of the unknown from the mount of the Holy Prophet.

[20] He alone would be guided to the right path who makes an attempt to find it and conforms his will to the Will of God.

So, what do you think?

Don’t you agree that all the above, though were foretold 1400 years ago, are the reality of today?

If you are true to yourself, you’ll accept that: All the Prophecies mentioned in the Surah have been literally fulfilled.

And those who still doubt about them the Lord says in the Qur’an-e-Majeed:

[22:61]: And those who disbelieve will not cease to be in doubt about it until the Hour comes suddenly upon them, or there comes to them the punishment of a destructive day.

Let’s see a few more signs in the Holy Quran:

[30:42] Corruption has spread on Land & Sea because of what men’s hands have wrought…

Signs of the Later Days are also given in Surah Al’Infitar

The Surah is so similar in style and subject-matter to the one preceding it that it forms, as it were, its counterpart, but with a separate name. The Surah deals particularly with the conditions that were to prevail in the Latter Days when Christian doctrines and ways of life will have impressed very deeply the conduct and concepts of non-Christian peoples, especially the Muslims. All the Prophecies mentioned in the Surah have been literally fulfilled. It was revealed at Mecca in the early years of the Call about the time of the revelation of the preceding Chapter.

[82:1] In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.
[82:2] When the heaven is cleft asunder [1],
[82:3] And when the stars are scattered [2],
[82:4] And when the oceans are made to flow forth [3] and joined together,
[82:5] And when the graves are laid open [4],
[82:6] Each soul shall then know what it has sent forth and what it has held back [5].

[82:7] O man, what has deceived thee against thy Gracious Lord?

Details:

[1] This Surah deals particularly with the time when Christianity will be very much in the ascendant and the Christian doctrines of trinity, the sonship of Jesus and atonement will reign supreme.

To this dominance of the false Christian doctrines the Qur’an has referred in very strong words; ‘The heavens might well-nigh be rent thereat, and the earth cleave asunder, and the mountains fall down into pieces because they ascribe a son to Allah’ (19:91, 92). The verse under comment refers to these two verses and signifies that at that time false doctrines of Christianity will dominate the world, and as a result of it God’s wrath, will be agitated and Divine punishment will overtake the world in various forms.

[2] Metaphorically speaking the verse means that in the Latter Days men possessing true spiritual knowledge and guidance will disappear or become rare.

[3] At that time great seas and oceans will be made to flow into one another by means of canals; or their mouth will be dug wide open so as to make large ships ply in them. The reference may be to the Panama and Suez Canals and so on.

[4] In the Latter Days graves will be dug open as has been done in the case of the tombs of the ancient Kings of Egypt; or, the verse may mean that towns and monuments, submerged and long forgotten, will be dug out.

[5] In this and the next few verses the address is to the protagonists and propagandists of the false Christian doctrines. They will come to realize the enormity and heinousness of their false teachings.

COMING OF THE MESSIAH

The prophecy in Surah Al’Jumah:

Let me remind you the scene when the prophecy was told (right from the Holy Qur’an, the last Law from the Lord)

Abu Hurairah, a companion of The Holy Prophet (PBUH) relates: One day we were sitting with The Holy Prophet (PBUH) when this was revealed.

“He it is Who has raised among the unlettered people a Messenger from among themselves who recites unto them His Signs, and purifies them, and teaches them the Book and Wisdom though before that they were in manifest error; And He will raise Him among others of them (again in the later times) who have not yet joined them*. He is the Mighty, the Wise.” Surah Al-Jummah 62:3-4

*refers to a, community which had not yet come into existence then, but was sure to appear in the future, to “join” the companions of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. It is important to note that the companions of the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, who were listening to the verse were intrigued and one of them even asked him as to who those lucky ones of the future would be.

Sign of MM:

[27:83] And when the sentence is passed against them, We shall bring forth for them a germ out of the earth, which shall wound them because people did not believe in Our Signs.

Many a past Muslim scholar and commentator of the Quran has related this prophecy to the age when the Mahdi and the Messiah would appear.

Qur’an to the Disbelievers of the Promised Messiah:

[36:31] Alas for My servants! there comes not a Messenger to them but they mock at him.

[36:47] And there comes not to them any Sign out of the Signs of their Lord, but they turn away from it.

[33:24] Among the believers are men who have been true to the covenant they made with Allah. There are some of them who have fulfilled their vow, and some who still wait, and they have not changed their condition in the least;

[36:18] ‘And our duty is only the plain delivery of the Message.’

[36:50] They are waiting only for a single blast which will seize them while they are disputing.

[38:5] And they wonder that a Warner has come to them from among themselves; and the disbelievers say, ‘This is a magician, a great liar.

My Dear Reader:

‘Proofs have indeed come to you from your Lord; so whoever sees, it is for his own good; and whoever becomes blind (ignores it, rejects it), it is to his own loss. And I am not a guardian over you.’ (Ch6:V105)

‘… And if thou couldst only see, when the wrongdoers are in the agonies of death…. …This day shall you be awarded the punishment of disgrace because of that which you spoke against God falsely and because you turned away from His Signs with disdain.’ (Ch6:V94)

‘O company of men! Did not Messengers come to you from among yourselves who related to you My Signs and who warned you of the meeting of this your day?’(Ch6:V131)

‘The messengers are sent because thy Lord would not destroy the towns unjustly while their people were unwarned.’ (Ch6:V132)

[17:16] He who follows the right way follows it only for the good of his own soul: and he who goes astray, goes astray only to his own loss. And no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another. We never punish until We have sent a Messenger.

[18:30] And say, ‘It is the truth from your Lord; wherefore let him who will, believe, and let him who will, disbelieve.’ Verily, We have prepared for the wrongdoers a fire whose flaming canopy shall enclose them. And if they cry for help, they will be helped with water like molten lead which will burn the faces. How dreadful the drink, and how evil is the Fire as a resting place!

QURAN ON DELIVERY OF THE HOLY MESSAGE (QURAN) TO THE WHOLE OF MANKIND

41:34. And who is better in speech than he who invites men to Allah and does righteous deeds and says, `I am, surely, of those who submit?’

16:126. Call unto the way of thy Lord with wisdom and goodly exhortation and argue with them in a way that is best. Surely, thy Lord knows best who has strayed from HIS way; and HE also knows those who are rightly guided.

16:129. Verily, ALLAH is with those who are righteous and those who do good.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Dear reader,

Assalamalaikum Warahmatullah-e-Wabarakatuhu (Peace be on you and the mercy and blessings of Allah)

‘… I do not say to you: ‘I possess the treasures of Allah, nor do I know the unseen; nor do I say to you: ‘I am an angel; I follow only that which is revealed to me….’ (Ch.6:V51)

‘… so whoever follows guidance, follows it for the good of his own soul; and as to him who goes astray, say, I’m am only a warner’. [27:93]

‘ … I am not a guardian over you.’ (Ch.6:V.67) ‘I am only a plain warner.’ (Ch. 26:V. 116)

‘… All praise belongs to Allah; He will soon show you His signs, and you will know them.’… [27:94]

May God help you my dear with His special help in understanding these divine concepts, Ameen

Our Motto is: ‘Love for all, Hatred for None’

P.S.: This work is done entirely for the pleasure of Allah, who says (in the Holy Qur’an, Aal-e-`Imran: 105), “And let there be among you a few who should invite (humanity) towards goodness.”

Introducing ‘Truth’ to the world: [3:61] This is the truth from thy Lord, so be thou not of those who doubt.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

For those who are checking the verses of Quran from this message, please subtract 1 from all verse count stated, as I count ‘Bismillah’ occurring before the start of every Surah (Chapter) as the first aayat (verse) of every Surah so my number will be +1 to yours.

Reason being… God, in the prophecy of Deuteronomy 20:18-19, had said to Moses (pbuh) that: “I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.

So it clearly meant that all whatever is recorded in the Quran are God’s words and not Mohammad (pbuh)’s! And so all the chapters in The Holy Quran start with ‘In the Name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful’ or ‘Bismillah-Hir-Rahman-Nir-Raheem’ except Surah 9 Al’Tauba (alone) which doesn’t start with it ONLY because is not a separate Surah in-itself but a part of Surah Al’Anfal.

Ahmadi Muslims believe that ‘Bismillah… Raheem’ is the first verse of each surah, and we believe (and this is true), that Bismillah was revealed with each Surah like other verses and so it is the start of each Surah, that is why we count Bismillah as verse number One while the other Muslim unfortunately don’t.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Spread light, spread this message and all details as much as you can and to as many as you ever can, in as many languages as you can, in all the ways you can… Because there are many out there who are on the wrong path. All of us have to turn to the almighty, the only one Lord of the worlds. And remember: The ink of scholar is more valuable than blood of martyr.

Even God says in the Qur’an-e-Kareem:

[9:122] …Why, then, does not a party from every section of them [believers] go forth that they may become well versed in religion, and that they may warn their people when they return to them, so that they may guard against evil?

All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of all the worlds

Say, “La ilaha il Allah, Muhammad-ur-Rasool-Allah” meaning “There is none worthy of worship but Allah, Muhammad [peace be upon him] is the messenger of Allah.”
