I was invited by Rabbi Barry Silver to deliver a talk to his congregation- L’Dor Va Dor in Lake Worth.

April 27 marks the observance of Yom Hashoah- remembrance of Holocaust and I was asked to give our perspective on the issue. Also I have a personal relationship with many Holocaust survivors who are my patients and I was asked to share my experiences with them.

I cited verses from Holy Quran about sanctity of life and its value. It turned into an interesting discussion about hot button issues – Sharia, women’s rights, Jihad, abortion, environment, basic human rights and comparative analysis with Judaism & Christianity.

A total 35 people were in attendance which included 7 from our Jama’at.

Rabbi Silver is committed to interfaith dialogue. He shared his many positive experiences from his visit to Jalsa Salana USA last year and his knowledge about Ahmadiyya Muslim Community through extensive readings of literature. He commended the fact that at Jalsa Salana USA many faiths were invited. This is in contrast to congregations by other faiths including Judaism, who are not very inclusive.

One of his members has left his congregation because he has been inviting us. This explains the importance & value he gives us.

Allah Ta’ala is continuing to open new avenues for Tabligh. May Allah accept our humble efforts towards the spread of the message of Islam Ahmadiyyat. Ameen.
