Amsterdam – The personal political advisor to the far-right politician Geert Wilders has quit the Party for Freedom (PVV), as a reaction to racist and xenophobic statements against Moroccan expatriates in the Netherlands.
Stephan Jansen, who has been an active member of the PVV party since 2006 and his representative at the provincial council of South Holland, said in a letter to the party members that his decision is due to racist statements made by Wilders during the local elections campaign last March.
