The picture with the Urdu text shows that one of the biggest organization of ‘Muslim Scholars,’ Deoband, in India, is strongly for secularism, while their sister organizations are against secularism in Pakistan.

They are for ‘Sharia’ in Pakistan and want secular constitution with equal rights for everyone in India.  In India they are standing against BJP and its leading candidate, Narendra Modi.

Lest some one think that it is contradictory.  It is not.  The ‘Muslim Scholars,’ have been very consistent.  They have always been for their self interest and their political power.

They have constantly been saying that Adam Smith was right, when he said:

It is not from the benevolence of the butcher, the brewer, or the baker that we expect our dinner, but from their regard to their own interest.

And:

Virtue is more to be feared than vice, because its excesses are not subject to the regulation of conscience.

What ever serves their political agenda is Islam and justice and whatever is contrary to that is against the ‘will of Allah’ or the teachings of ‘Islam!’
