CHANDIGARH: A Punjabi translation of the Quran turned out to be one of the top selling books at the Book Fair in Sector 17, Chandigarh. It became the centre of attraction for many readers at the stall set up by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of Chandigarh, which sold more than 50 copies in just two days.

“We are selling the translated books at the minimum possible cost of Rs350. We have translations in three languages – Hindi, English, and Punjabi. Since the Quran is originally in Arabic, we decided to provide the translations in the language that people here understand”, said Abdul Alim, owner of the stall. He further added: “People in Chandigarh are more into Punjabi, so in just two days, we have sold over 50 copies of the book, and have ordered for 60 more. We aim to promote ‘Love for all, hatred for none’, so we are giving a book – World Crisis and the Pathway to Peace – free of cost. People who are religious or those interested in issues like peace and humanity are most of the buyers here.”

“I found reading the Quran in Punjabi quite interesting. I want to read it in full to see how they have managed to translate it perfectly in Punjabi,” said Karan Bansal, a resident of Sector 35, who bought two copies of the book. Manjali Gandhi, a resident of Sector 40, who bought all the three translations (English, Hindi, and Punjabi) of the holy…continue reading at timesofindia.indiatimes.com

  1. May these people be blessed with closeness to God & may they benefit maximally from the Holy Book, Ameen.

  2. There is an awakening in the awareness of the need for a the creator to reach peace in the world of increasing war & destruction. The people of India are a spiritual people and they have always searched for Allah in all avenues. Unfortunately they have turned to animate and inanimate objects, to worship Allah. I hope that the punjabi translation of the word of Allah, will be a source of guidance. I believe, that Allah the the almighty will enlighten the land of Hindustan and in turn enable to illumine the world and take India it to its great heights of its formar glory as a great nation again. It’s the Land where Allah sent his Messiah .& Mahdi, as before him Allah the Almighty guided them by his prophet Krishna, may Allahs peace & blessing be on both.

I would like to convey my thanks to all the people who have put their time, knowledge and skill to produce the translation in Punjabi language. This will open a new avenue for Punjabi speaking and reading people, they will be able to understand what is the message and what is Islam all about.
This is definitely a sign of extending a hand of friendship and understanding to the Punjabi people and a way of telling them that Ahmaddiya Community cares and give importance to them.

  4. In a world of closed minds and blackened hearts, how wonderful it is to see such opened minded people.Who said that third world people are ignorant?? Knowledge is there for the taking and people no matter where their from, will and have found it. The Ahmadiyya Movement, is doing just that, MOVING!! How can there be opposition in attempting to share information to each other? No one is compelled to accept anything against their will, or at least they should never be forced to accept or believe anything they don’t understand or truly feel. Our world is such in need of love, justice and especially peace. We will all benefit in a world, where the value of life for everyone is protected. For everyone who is a torch bearer of Peace! I thank you all!
May Allah Almighty bless everyone in the world who are the peace makers!!
All Praises is due to Allah Alone! Lord of All the Worlds!!
