Indonesia: Pontianak Ahmadiyah Congregation Visits the Ministry of Religion, Emphasizing Harmony and Freedom of Belief

Pontianak Ahmadiyah Congregation’s visit to the Pontianak City Ministry of Religion.

Pontianak, Warta Ahmadiyah – The management of the Pontianak Ahmadiyah Congregation held a friendly meeting with the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) of Pontianak City, Wednesday, April 15, 2026

This meeting emphasized the importance of maintaining harmony while respecting freedom of belief in a pluralistic society.

The group was received directly by the Head of the Pontianak City Ministry of Religion Office, H. Ruslan in his office.

On this occasion, the Pontianak Ahmadiyah Congregation introduced the management for the 2025–2028 period.

The head of the Pontianak Ahmadiyah Muslim Congregation, Rudi Wardani, said that this gathering was a step to strengthen communication and synergy with the government.

“We want to introduce the management and build closer communication,” he said.

The Head of the Ministry of Religion, H. Ruslan, emphasized that social harmony must be maintained together, and emphasized that faith is a private matter for each individual.

“Everyone has the right to practice their religion and beliefs. The most important thing is maintaining harmony and mutual respect,” he said.

The Ahmadiyya Congregation also affirmed its commitment to continue contributing through various social activities, such as blood donations and environmental cleanliness drives.
