Calling Muslim world to curb extremism

the NorthWestern.com: by Ahmad Khan –

Every time I hear of an atrocity in the name of Islam, I feel the ever growing need as a Muslim to speak to the entire Muslim population. My intent in doing so is to unite all Muslims everywhere to join together and eradicate extremist and fundamentalist elements.

I would begin by mentioning that protecting life, liberty, and property (i.e. houses of worship) should be above everything else. Everything should result in peace and the rules of justice should be followed in all affairs.

The platform will be a letter because it would best allow me to speak directly to my Muslim audience in solving this problem. It would also contain Prophet Muhammad’s example to contrast what needs to be achieved.

My first case-in-point would be the recent Kenya mall attack where the supposed intent was to fight the “enemies of Islam” as a requirement for jihad. I would underscore that when “enemies of Islam” severely persecuted Muslims, Prophet Muhammad only guided them to Abyssinia, a Christian kingdom; “The king of Abyssinia is just and equitable. None are subjected to oppression under his rule.” This example clearly showed the true meaning of jihad is to overcome struggle and to protect life, not to revert to violence and extinguish it.

  1. How did muslims get to this stage in their lives? Extremism? where did that come from? Where in the time of the Holy Prophet (saw) his example was extreme? He was the most forgiving, kind, patient, loving, compassionate, trusting. The list could be endless. These are the behaviors he had shown. Where did the muslims get this blue print from? Who are the printers of these lies, these ignorant muslims. Shame, shame! How dire you attempt to take Islam hostage with your unGodly display of arrogance. Do you really think this is the path to Paradise? Do you think Allah, need you do with His oppositions. These muslims spend so much time killing, they have yet to learn their faith. They are angry with the world because they don’t understand the contributions of Islam to the world. Remember, Allah said, we were against each other and He united our hearts in love. The muslim world, has the Holy Quran, The Holy Prophet (saw) and now the Promised Messiah (Mizra Ghulam Ahmad) and the muslims are still lost not because they can’t be better people, but, because of their weakness in Islam. Islam can transform anyone’s life if they want to do the right thing. The actions these muslims are showing, why can’t they refer this to the actions of the Holy Prophet(saw). If their leaders are telling them this is Islam. Why aren’t they doing all of the dirty work. Why do the run and hide. After all, don’t they believe Allah is All Hearing and All Seeing??? Don’t they believe this is what Allah wants them to do? We should stay in prayer, because prayer is our True weapon.
