A keen horticulturist in West Sussex has achieved a lifetime’s work by growing 250 varieties of apple on one tree. Paul Burnett has been grafting apples, including many rare varieties, onto a single tree for 24 years and now boasts breeds like the Wadhurst Pippin, the Wolf River and the Carswell Orange. VoR’s Tim Ecott asked him how he does it.
