Some 30,000 Arab Israelis took part Friday in a rally titled “Al-Aqsa Mosque in Danger,” in the northern ton of Umm al-Fahm. The event was organized by the northern branch of the Islamic Movement.
Attendees were waving Palestinian flags, crying out “We will sacrifice our lives for Al-Aqsa.”
Head of the Islamic Movement, Sheikh Raed Salah, attended the rally, as did other Arab leaders.
The Islamic Movement’s deputy chief, Sheikh Kamel Khatib, said: “We will continue to protect the Al-Aqsa Mosque and we deliver a warning to anyone that intends to do it any harm.”
