Muslims for life campaign
I would like to invite you to an Interfaith memorial service in honor of the victims of 9/11 at our mosque on Wednesday 11th September 2013 starting at 7 PM (invitation attached). Representatives from the Christian, Jewish, Islamic, Hindu, Jain, Zoroastrian & Sikh faiths will speak for a few minutes on the Sanctity of life. Please join us in fellowship to honor the fallen. To honor the victims of 9/11, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Houston is also hosting its annual “Muslims for Life” Blood Drive on Sunday 15th September between 11 – 4 PM. This is part of a nationwide effort to help collect 12,000 units of blood. The blood drives are being held in collaboration with various organizations including Schools/colleges, places of worship/Outreach institutes and other locations. Last year 207 registrants held 376 one-day blood drives at more than 200 locations nationwide in which 11,170 pints of blood were collected.
