Read below your comments on the closure by security officers of a mosque belonging to the Ahmadiyah community in Bekasi, West Java:
Why have the Ahmadis, as Indonesians, been rejected and neglected by the other citizens of the nation?
Ahmadis fought for the independence of Indonesia in 1945 and certainly not just their religion.
The adherents of no particular religion won the nation its independence.
Why should one religion be more entitled than others in this country?
This Ahmadiyah affair is happening despite our democracy, Pancasila and Bhineka Tunggal Eka.
The 1945 Indonesian National Independence war veterans must be quite restless in their Veterans/Heroes Cemeteries upon learning that the younger generation doesn’t seem to respect their effort to free the nation from all kinds of colonialism. They fought and died for what later was unified.
We bicker about the closure of another religion; as if we knew which one is better than the other; risking our national wealth: “unity”!
Do we still have the pride and might to shout as proud Indonesians?

People from different religions marched on the House of Representatives.But the government will do nothing. It’s the public that needs to show where it stands.
If the public does support closing of churches and minority places of worship, so be it. At least the world will know what Indonesians think about such acts.

This act can’t be said Islamic. Islam accepts the freedom of worship for all faiths.Closing the mosque to stop worship of one God is definately the act of people who do not follow islamic and humantarian values. They should reconsider their attitide and act before they are punished by God Almighty. Unjustice and cruility cannot go longer.

Worship is the basic right of every human being. Every government of this modern world is bound to protect this right of her citizens, We’d demand from Indonesian government also to come up to the situation and fulfill its duties with respect Ahmadis’ rights in Indonesia.
It time for the Indonesian to stop promoting their country tolerance for diversity on CNBC. Investments will decrease significantly because of persecution of Ahmadi Muslims. Have you already forgotten what has happen to Pakistan?
