Earth is rotating on its axis and completes about 25,000 miles in 24 hours. That is about 1000 miles per hour surface movement at Equator.

Earth is traveling around the Sun and covers a distance of 93,000,000×6.3 miles in 365 days. This works out to a great speed of 66,000 miles per hour, floating (flying) in space.

The good thing is that both the above speeds are extremely constant. There is no change in that speed. Had the speed changed slightly, we would experience a jerk (or jolt) of many miles per second and the buildings would fall.

It is the Grace of Allah Almighty that our Earth is at just the right distance from our Star (The Sun) that it is neither too hot nor too cold. And the speed of rotation of earth is such that it completes a circle in 24 hours on its axis. Had turning speed been too slow, we would have suffered intense cold and intense heat due to very long days and nights (say days and nights of 50 hours duration).
The axis of rotation of Earth is inclined at an angle of say about 20 degrees. That gives us summer and winter and changing weather. If there was no inclination, there would have been air but no wind, and no change in weather at all. There is air and the moving air is called wind. Without winds we would not have clouds and rains and comfort.

WE can only marvel at the bounties of our Lord (Rabb) Allah for His beneficence and Mercy. All praise is to Almighty Allah.
