  1. Thanks Dr Zia Shah. The reporter is from switzerland, a country that banned Muslim Minarets recently. However his coverage is quite good and speaks positively about Mosques.

  2. Salaams.

As Dr. Sadiq Boodhun Saheb mentioned, this was sweet revenge indeed: Consider the fact that the first broadcast of the report, with so many shots of Baitul Islam mosque, inside and out, took place in a country where mosques and minarets have now been “proscribed” by law, in a manner of speaking!

Additionally, the video afforded us entry into the living rooms of Switzerland with the message of Islam-Ahmadiyyat, and the projection of the positive image of the peaceful integration of practicing Muslims in a major North American city.

Lastly, just as Hazrat Khalifatul Masih IV (ra) used to tell perplexed non-Ahmadi visitors to Rabwah that Tahrik-e-Jadid and other institutions of the Jama’at were gifts that they had given us, this video report has been the latest fruit we’ve reaped from a vitriolic report on Peace Village published a few years back by Le Figaro, the Paris right-of-centre newspaper. Peace Village was dubbed in that report as an islamist ghetto in the heart of Christian North America, and prompted widespread interest from a large number of media outlets — and started a procession of media visits to Peace Village. By the grace of Allah, all of the subsequent reports have been very positive, appearing even in the dispatches of Agence France Presse, and in the columns of the New York Times! Alhamdolillah!

      • Rafiq Tschannen Saheb:
        Salaams.
Right you are. Not in our minds when deciding shoots, sequences and interviews. But, we’ll definitely keep in mind henceforth.

Nonetheless, the Swiss Jama’at (and other francophone jama’ats in Europe and elsewhere), could leverage this report and re-use it to educate the public about our reputation for actively contributing to inter-communal harmony. In particular, the strong endorsement of one of our municipal Councillors in the report should carry weight with public officials in other jurisdictions. If needed, the full contact details of this Councillor and of others, could be supplied easily.
