Talimul Islam (T.I) Ahmadiyya School Appeals For Help

The headmistress of the Talimul Islam (T.I) Ahmadiyya Girls Senior High School, Asokore- Ashanti, Madam Ayesha Nyantakyiwaa Boakye, has appealed to the government and benevolent organisations, to assist the school with more infrastructure, to enable it admit more students and expand education delivery in the area.

She stressed that with a population of about 1,021 students, “we need spacious assembly and dining halls, a fence wall, and staff bungalows”.

Madam Boakye made the appeal at the launch of the school’s 40th anniversary celebrations, and speech and prize-giving day, recently. The theme for the celebrations is: “Development through girl-child education; the role of stakeholders”.

The celebration is slated for March 9, 2013 and the activities lined up include a book exhibition, food bazaar, football gala and a candle light procession.

  1. Probably schools are financed by ministry of education Ghana. Might be some one from Ghana can verify it.

  2. You are right, Mr. Khan. The school was established by the mission but it has been taken over by the government of Ghana. The mission has very little control over the school probably through the suggestion of a qualified Ahmadi to be appointed as a Headmaster/Headmistress.
    The government of Ghana is to provide all the facilities that make teaching and learning possible. However, due to lack of enough resources, some Heads of schools sometimes appeal to organizations aside of the government to support them.

  3. Well, as these schools bear the name of our Community we should try to help them and try to mobilize resources, Inshallah.

    May be also members of our Jamaat could offer their services as teachers for a semester or a school year.
