New Delhi: Various organizations led by Students Islamic Organisation of India(SIO) organized a nationwide protest to stop illegal detention and arrest of innocent Muslim youth in the name of terrorism.
A march to Parliament was organized in New Delhi. Students Islamic Orgainsation of India (SIO) was joined with Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH), Association for Protection of Civil Rights (APCR), All India Muslim Majlis-e-Mushawarat (AIMMM), Welfare Party of India (WPI), Jamia Students Solidarity Forum (JSSF), Alliance for Social Justice, Delhi University.

On this occasion a memorandum was sent to the Prime Minister demanding speedy trial of all terror cases, fair investigation of terror incidents, rehabilitation of those acquitted of terror charges, and Repeal all draconian laws including Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA), MACOCA, sedition laws and Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA).

Memorandum
Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO) is deeply concerned over the continued chain of detaining and arresting of innocent Muslim youths in the name of counter terrorism across the country since long time. On one side, the police and the government agencies arrest innocent Muslim youths under serious charges and on the other side, the media projects them, much before their trial in courts of law, as masterminds and terrorists. As a result, their lives and the lives of their families are ruined. When these cases are heard in courts of law, the police and investigating agencies fail miserably to prove the allegations they level against these innocent Muslim youths. After suffering incarceration and ignominy for as long as over 20 years, the courts declare them innocent and acquit them.

Imam Mehdi (a.s.) has already made it clear for Ummat-e-Muslimeen to NOT to take part in strikes which tend to disrupt public order and peace. More over, its needless to say that Jamat-e-Islami is a Wahabi like organization. So no matter if the cause of Indian Muslims is genuine, it will be lost because it’s taken up by those who have wrong motive of communalising the issue. Than to propose some concrete and constructive solution. Let’s give JI time of 100 years and see the results they can achieve.
Ex Amir and founder of Jammaat-i-Islam (late)Maulana Modoodi confirmed in Lahore inquiry report in 1953 that Non-Muslim Majority Government of a country has every right to treat Mulims minority if any, to press and punish non-muslim minority.
Why JIH and their like minded Jamaat protesting in India a Non-Muslim majority country.
Actually it’s Ahmadiyya Muslim Community which took notice of such phenomenon and took constructive measures such as distributing booklets to police and civil administrators to win their hearts. Frequent inter-faith seminars organized by AMC has been a key factor in winning hearts and minds in favor of Muslim community. We Ahmadis should understand this and channel our energy and resources in line with principles of AMC instead of taking notice of these fanatic muslims who seem to be hell bent of ruining remaining amity and peace. These other muslims should learn that instead of making too much noise, they should take things in a silent and peaceful manner with constructive thoughts.
