‘Ansar 3’ convoy heads to Gaza (from Jordan)

AMMAN — A number of Jordanian activists headed to Gaza on Saturday, accompanying the third aid convoy “Ansar 3”, which is carrying $700,000 worth of food and medical assistance.

Wael Saqqa, head of the Jordanian “Artery of Life” committee, noted that 10 local politicians, media figures and activists were travelling to the coastal enclave, adding that 30 small- to medium-sized businesses will be financially supported as part of the convoy’s efforts to alleviate the difficult economic conditions Gazans are going through.

The convoy headed to Aqaba before being ferried to the Egyptian city of Nuweibeh to travel overland to Gaza
