Dad, 88, fined for hitting son, 65, with broom

An 88-year-old pensioner has accepted a fine of €2,000 for hitting his son – also a pensioner – with a broom. The judge told the pair, “I’d be ashamed of coming to court with this nonsense.”

  1. The best judge I ‘experienced’ in Nigeria. At 8.30 am he went through all the cases that were to come up that day. There was one case where one man was supposed to have received wrongly a postal money order of twelve pounds fifty. The judge asked ‘you are mentioning your residence as Maiduguri’ (North East of Nigeria), did you come from there now?’ The accused confirmed it. Then the judge said: ‘In that case you have paid more on travel expenses then the case is worth. Case dismissed.’
