GUWAHATI: With ethnic violence engulfing new areas in Kokrajhar and Chirang districts on Tuesday, the state government is facing flak of various organizations for failing to control the situation.
Aasu blamed chief minister Tarun Gogoi, who is in charge of home affairs, for failing to contain violence. Tapan Gogoi, Aasu general secretary, said, “We have expressed our concern over the incident and strongly condemn the loss of life and property. Violence in Kokrajhar, Chirang and Dhubri districts show that the chief minister is ineffective in tackling the situation.”
