BEIRUT —A bombing in Damascus on Wednesday killed Defense Minister Dawoud Rajha and his deputy, Asef Shawkat, who was the brother-in-law and close confidante of President Bashar al-Assad.The deputy commander of the Free Syrian Army claimed responsibility for the attack, the latest and most dramatic sign of upheaval in more than 16 months of civil revolt.

Days of Asad are numbered. Earlier he goes better for Syrians.
Unfortunately the future even without Asad looks equally bleak…
