AMMAN — Awqaf Minister Abdul Salam Abbadi on Sunday said the isha (night) prayer will be performed in mosques half an hour after the call to prayer during the holy month of Ramadan while the fajr (dawn) prayer will be performed a quarter of an hour after the call to prayer.
The decision has been taken to allow worshippers sufficient rest after iftar.
Normally, the isha prayer is performed 10 minutes after the call to prayer while the dawn prayer is performed around half an hour after the call.
