An Urdu book by Ansar Raza, Canada
There is no doubt that the most fundamental and key resources of Islam are Qur`an; Sunnah; and Hadith. However, some groups and individuals express doubts about the authenticity of Hadith resources and insist on considering the Qur`an as the sole source of Islam. Whether any Muslim individual, group, and sect believe in Hadith or not, they all unanimously believe in the Qur`an as the unaltered Word of God. It is also important to note that the Promised Messiah, Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmadas of Qadian has stated that his claim is primarily based on the Qur`an:
“…we swear by God, the Exalted, and state that this claim of ours is not based on ahādīth, but rather the Holy Qur’ān…” (Ijaz-e-Ahmadi (Zameema Nuzool-ul-Masih) P-36, Ruhani Khazain Vol-19 P-140)
Keeping these facts in view, Ansar Raza decided to compile evidences of the truthfulness of the Promised Messiahas from the Holy Qur`an, which he entitled “Sultan-ul-Qur`an” i.e., the Qur`anic Evidences of the Truthfulness of the Promised Messiahas. As he has stated in the preface, in Arabic ‘Sultan’ means strong evidence and that this word has been used many times in the Qur`an in this connotation.
For the clarity of the matter and to take the reader step by step to the conclusion, Ansar Raza has devised five questions, as under:
- Is prophet-hood and revelation continued as per Quran?
- If yes, do we need it in this age?
- Is there any information or disclosure in the Quran regarding the advent of any prophet in this age?
- What are the criteria of a true prophet?
- Does Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmadas of Qadian fulfill those criteria?
This book has been divided into six sections: Clarification and explanation of some misunderstandings and incoherent, rather contradictory beliefs of non-Ahmadi Muslim scholars and answers to the above mentioned five questions.
The Qur`anic arguments of the truthfulness of the Promised Messiahas mentioned in this book are not new and can be found in Ahmadiyya literature. What Ansar Raza did is to gather them under above mentioned five categories, i.e., possibility of continuation of prophethood; need of prophethood; news about coming of a prophet in this age; the criteria of a true prophet; and the fulfillment of those criteria in the person of Hadhrat MIrza Ghulam Ahmadas of Qadian.
The 100 page book is in Urdu and can be read online in Alislam.
