Kenya: Ahmadiyya Muslims urge peace, tolerance

The Ahmadiyya Muslim community in Kenya has called for tolerance, harmony and peaceful coexistence as the country prepares for the next generation elections.

Addressing faithfuls during their 46th Annual Convention at Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission, Muranga Road, Nairobi on Saturday, the Kenyan head of the Mission Naeem Ahmed Mehmood Cheema urged followers and other Kenyans to strictly obey Islam’s teachings of peace and reconciliation. The Convention is held every year and members of the community travel from different parts of the country with the sole purpose of gaining religious knowledge and to attain blessings of Allah.

“Islam teaches us that unless man learns to live at peace with himself and his fellow human beings, he cannot live at peace with God. In Islam, you shall find peace and tranquillity of the heart which is the fruit of submitting to the Will of God”, the Amir and Missionary In charge, Kenya stressed.
