Govt need to act against Ahmadiyya tormentors
MEMBERS of the Ahmadiyya community, a minority sect of Islam, are once again exposed to intimidation. This time, they have been barred from building a mosque at a village in Tangail, although, in line with Article 41 of the constitution, ‘every citizen has the right to profess, practice or propagate any religion’ and ‘every religious community or denomination has the right to establish, maintain and manage its religious institutions’. According to a report published in New Age on Tuesday, the victims have pointed fingers to the law enforcers, who are supposed to protect their rights, for that violation. A local leader of the Ahmadiyya community alleged that while members of the Ahmadiyya community at Chantara village under Ghatail upazila started fencing their land in a bid to construct a mosque Monday morning, the police came to the spot and stopped their activities apart from pulling down the fencing.
The Prime Minister of Bangladesh is praised in UN for her success in fighting extremism. We expect that she will continue safeguard the secular constitution of Bangladesh by protecting the rights of innocent Ahmadi citizens from these extremists.

It is indeed encouraging that there are at least some voices in favor of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat. Let us hope and pray that more journalists will find the courage to speak out. May Allah reward them.
What is wrong with these people? That in this day and age of so-called enlightenment, the Muslims are behaving like the ones in the dark ages before Islam.
Considering they recite the Holy Qur’an (probably everyday), do they not understand what they read, there? They are proving the various verses of the holy book to be right where it says that, ‘deaf, dumb and blind, they will not understand….’!
They seem to be so dependent on and so very easily swayed into unislamic actions by their so-called ‘leaders’. Do they have no brains of their own to think for themselves and judge between right and wrong?
The Messenger of Islam Said: Help criminal cruel and non criminal cruel persons. The followers of the Messenger asked, how to help criminal cruel guilty person?. The Messenger of Islam said, catch criminal cruel guilty person’s hand and stop him performing bad deed cruelty. Let us forward and help together.
