JEDDAH: Makkah Gov. Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, who is also chairman of the Central Haj Committee, will launch this season’s national media campaign to enlighten domestic pilgrims on Haj regulations on Oct. 15.
The logo of the campaign, which was first launched in the Haj season three years ago, is “Haj is a worship and civilized conduct.”
A major goal of the campaign is to end undesirable practices such as going for Haj without permit and sleeping on pavements.
“The campaigns over the past three years have brought about notable achievements and enabled government and private sectors in providing excellent services to pilgrims,” Prince Khaled said in a statement on Friday.
“The Haj service is a great honor and privilege to the Kingdom, its government and its people. We are also proud at the title of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques adopted by King Abdullah, whom we all follow in carrying on the privilege of serving Haj and Umrah pilgrims,” the prince added.
