By the Grace of Allah Taalah, the 29th Annual Ijtema of Majlis Ansarullah UK took place on the 23rd, 24th and 25th of September 2011 at Baitul Futuh Mosque, Morden.
The proceeding of the Shura of Majlis Ansarullah took place on Friday the 23rd from 10.00 AM till 6.30 PM. The inauguration of the Ijtema commenced after the Maghrib prayer at 7.30 PM, Amir Sahib UK performed the flag hoisting ceremony. Amir Sahib chaired the first session and delivered the inaugural address. The attendance at the inaugural session was 778.
Amir Sahib visited the Exhibition Marque which included a Holy Quran exhibition. Also displayed in the Exhibition marquee was material about the Majlis Ansar Charity Walks and a display about the work being carried out by the Humanity First.
The proceedings on Saturday 24th started with Tahajjud and Fajr prayers , followed by Dars. The first session of the day included the academic events including Tilawat, Hifz-e-Quran and Nazm competitions. During the morning the sports competitions also took place. The competitions concluded at 12.30 PM, and were followed by the 2nd session which was a forum on the Prophethood of the Promised Messiah(as).
In the afternoon there was a special session in which issues related to finding marriage partners for the young Ahmadi boys and girls were discussed.
The 3rd session was a faith inspiring session about the Shohada-e-Ahmadiyya (the sacrifices of the martyrs of Ahmadiyyat) and Ansar’s responsibilities. A specially prepared video was also shown.
Events on Sunday the 25th started with academic competitions (extempore and prepared speech competitions) and sports competitions.
The next session was chaired by Sadr Majlis Ansarullah UK, the theme was the 9th condition of Bai’at – Representatives from Humanity First described the humanitarian work being carried out as part of the Model Village and Gift of Sight for the blind (over one thousnd successful eye operations) and Water for Life projects, for which some of the funds collected by the Ansarullah Charity Walks UK were donated.
The final session started at 3.30pm and was chaired by Amir Sahib UK who gave the closing address.
The total Ansar attendance was 1735. This represents an increase of 253 on last year’s Ansar attendance. The total overall attendance including guests was 1898. The participants at this year’s Ijtema included seven Ansar guests from Belgium.
