Youth group aims to dispel myths about Islam

A toronto based youth group hopes to dispel myths and misunderstandings about Islam and

Qur’an as it brings its travelling Open house to Peterborough. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association Canada has been canvassing neighbourhoods across Canada during winter months, attempting to battle the Islam’s Holy book.

“We have been canvassing neighbourhood’s condemning terrorism, promoting Peace and bringing awarness about peaceful Islam” said Rizwan Rabbani who directs the groups department of faith Outreach.

Winter when its extreamly cold, that is the time to win people’s heart. You go and knocks on someones door when its -30C that tells them that we are serious. We are not terrorist, we are good people. When Florida pastor Terry Jones burned the Qur’an sparking fatal riots in Afghanistan, the group decided to host the series of events through out Canada to improve the public’s understanding about Islam.
