Terror response after 9/11: What US did and India didn’t?

Source: NDTV

New Delhi — The attack on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, changed the manner in which the world viewed terrorism.  Days after 9/11, US soldiers pounded Afghanistan and Iraq; America’s internal security setup changed within months.
On the other hand, India’s battle against terror has been a mixed bag.  Wednesday’s blast near the Delhi High Court in which 13 people were killed and over 70 injured, added to the long list of terror strikes in India.
Home Minister P Chidambram said India doesn’t have a magic bullet.  “The National Investigating Agency (NIA) has to build capacity, it has to recruit officers.  And NIA is building capacity.  So, it’s not as though I, by pressing a switch, get 500 people to the NIA overnight.”

  1. I believe Author didn’t specify his own point of view on this? As an Ahmadi Muslim and an Indian who has had significant interaction with Pakistanis including Ahmadis, i strongly believe that Pakistanis should refrain from writing or saying anything about India or its Muslims. Its too difficult to expect that Pakistanis will excercise taqwa and just conduct of a momin. Pakistani attitude is still the same which it had towards Bengali Muslims. Conduct of Pakistani Muslims is the same as that of Zionists who led Jews to slaughter in WWII. I wish they become Muslim in true sense. Rabbe Asleh Ummata Muhammadin(s.a.s.). Never forget that what you give to others(especially fitna) comes back to you.
