433 dead in Eid exodus road accidents

The National Command Post for Idul Fitri reported that hundreds of people died in road accidents related to the annual homecoming exodus.

“According to data from the police traffic corps, 433 people died in road accidents,” National Command Post head Hotma Simanjuntak said as quoted by tribunnews.com on Thursday.

As of Thursday afternoon, he said, some 2,773 road accidents had occurred with 729 people seriously injured and 1,864 others sustaining minor injuries.
