Baghdad: Just a normal day: Two Katusha rockets fall on Baghdad’s Green Zone

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: August 8: Two Katusha rockets fell on west Baghdad’s fortified Green Zone on Wednesday, but losses were not known, a security source reported.

“Two Katusha rockets fell on the Green Zone, but losses were not known,” the security source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

He said the Security forces found the rockets-launching pad in al-Saeaada area of southeast Baghdad’s Zaafaraniya district, giving no further details.

The Green Zone is home for leading Iraqi government offices, including the Council of Ministers, the Parliament, the Presidency, as well as a number of embassies, including the U.S. and British Embassies.
