LONGHUI COUNTY, China — Many parents and grandparents in this mountainous region of terraced rice and sweet potato fields have long known to grab their babies and find the nearest hiding place whenever family planning officials show up.   1. This is outrageous. China’s one-child policy is nothing short of inhumane. Children are gifts from God and they should be treated as such. I hope that China will see the lght and stop this unjust law.

  2. China is the top of the list of countries for adoption of babies. High population along with such state sponsored abusive policies may both be playing a part in this regard.
