Ministry: Pilgrims must be given consummate Umrah services

JEDDAH: The Haj Ministry has asked the companies providing Umrah services to provide consummate services to the guests of God and asked them to submit their operational plans for the second part of the Umrah season falling in the months of June and July.

This was announced by Director of the ministry’s Services Department Abdul Aziz bin Assad Damanhouri on Sunday.

He said the ministry asked the companies to provide it with the number of Umrah visas they plan to have, the nationalities of the pilgrims and their accommodation and transport arrangements. There are about 60 companies and establishments providing services to pilgrims.

Speaking to Arab News, sources working in Umrah services said the occupancy in Madinah hotels has reached 95 percent.

  1. We may not agree with many aspects of the Saudi interpretation of Islamic laws etc, however, we must acknowledge that they are trying their utmost to do their duties as hosts of the Hajj and Umrah pilgrims. May Allah reward them greatly.
