Islamic conference calls for helping displaced Libyans

AMMAN (Petra) ––– Participants at the International Conference on Investment in Islamic States held recently in Amman have called for establishing a fund to help displaced Libyans and provide them with the necessary humanitarian assistance. The conference, organised by the Jordan Chamber of Commerce and the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry, also called for exerting more efforts to arrive at an integrated economy in Islamic countries as well as drawing up mechanisms to counter obstacles imposed by the global economic developments. The participants urged for setting up joint economic strategies and work on implementing all the agreements of the Organisation of the Islamic Conference related to boosting economic and trade ties among member states.
