On 15.12.2016 Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat Croatia organized an event in the auditorium of Culture Information Center Zagreb. Mainly it was a lecture on the topic of Woman in Islam. However prior to lecture, recitation from Holy Quran and its Croatian translation was read by Ahmadiyya Missionary Mr Basil Ahmad. Thereafter 18 minute Ahmadiyya documentary dubbed in Croatian language was shown to the participants.The documentary contained the origin of Ahmadiyya from Qadian, nature of the claim of its founder, The Khilafat system, peace promotion efforts of of fifth Ahmadiyya Khalifa, MTA and services of Humanity First.
After the documentary, lecture on Woman in Islam, removing the veil of prejudices, was presented by Mr Karlo Brunovic who completed his masters in Philosophy and Religious studies and is engaged in translation work of Ahmadiyya since few years. It was ensured that his lecture remained restricted to the authentic teachings of Quran as well of authentic hadith. He very amicably handled various aspects etching the Western minds. Hijab, gender equality, polygamy and respect given to women by Islam included the main sub headings. After the lecture few questions and comments came from the participants which were dealt by Mr Karlo and Mr Basil. All the guests were presented a pack of Ahmadiyya literature comprising of Croatian translation of 10 peace speeches of Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad aba, Zikre Elahi, Absolute Justice-Kindness and Kinship, woman in Islam and role of woman in Islamic Society.
Ms Nasiha Mulabegovic moderated the whole event excellently. Mr Drazneko Pandek who chaired the event thanked Ahmadiyya for arranging such an informative event. Mr Sead Mulabegovic arranged reception and refreshments in a nice way. Display of large roll up with portrait of Promised Messiah a.s. on main entrance of auditorium attracted attention of every one. Another roll up containing portraits of all Ahmadiyya Khalifas also remained point of attraction for most of the participants. Two roll ups containing Humanity First work in Croatia also attracted many participants. Mr Yasser, Mr Balde and Ms Anna also extended full cooperation to make the event a success. Alhamdolillah 53 participated the event.
