Former Pakistan nationals who are now Indian citizens are upbeat over theArmy‘s successful strikes on terror camps across the Line of Control (LoC) in Pakistan-controlled Kashmir.
“Pakistan was my mother country , but it is now infested with terrorist groups and camps. I am happy with the surgical strikes carried out by the Army ,” said Tahira Zahoor, who was born and brought up in Faislabad district of Pakistan’s Punjab province. She is now married to an Indian living in Qadian, a town in Punjab’s Gurdaspur district.
Tahoor admitted that say did like the country of her birth. “But I’m not happy with its successive governments for adopting an anti-India policy and supporting insurgents in Jammu and Kashmir. I’m for India and want our Army to use drones to kill terrorists on Pakistani soil,” she said. Her husband Maqbool Ahmad said there were celebrations in their house as soon they received news of surgical strikes across the LoC.

  1. To me these are unwanted comments by Ahmadiyya community members who were ex Pakistani but now Indian nationals. Biggest fear is strong back lash for Ahmadies living in Pakistan. Am also ex Pakistani but will never utter such words against motherland. TOI should also be careful while carrying such news. It can create havoc for peaceful Ahmadiyya minority members living in Pakistan.
