Oscar speeches run the gamut from heartfelt and funny to self-indulgent and obnoxious. But when Sharmeen took the stage it was not the same.
The filmmaker gave an inspiring speech about the power of film to make a desired change as she won an for Best Documentary Short for A Girl in the River: The Price of Forgiveness.

“This is what happens when determined women get together,” she said as she accepted the golden statuette. And people all over the world were inspired and moved by Sharmeen’s words.
Sharmeen in her speech praised “all the brave men out there, like my father and my husband, who push women to go to school and work and who want a more just society for women.”

Congratulation “Sharmeen ” God bless you and your family too. Muslims really need reformation of interpretation of Islam, from ancient Islamic law to modern interpretation of Islam.
Muslim need also reform the ancient Islamic system of justice. Such as; beheading, cut off hands, feet, flogging girls at front of public square.

Hello my friend Ali Hidaya. Once again I wish to remind you of the difference between ancient Arabic customs and the teachings of Islam. You said that Muslims need to reform the “Ancient Islamic System of Justice”.
As I said before the punishment of beheading is no where to be found in the Quran. So please do not mis-state the Quran. The other punishments are also limited to very few and egregious cases. They cannot be applied and have not been applied in the history of Islam as a general punishment for everyone.
So once again, what happened in ancient Arab tradition is not Islam. Islam is in the Holy Quran. Please get your facts straight.
As for the system of justice mentioned in the Holy Quran, I challenge you to bring an equal teaching from any other religious book.

THE ANCIENT ISLAMIC SYSTEM OF JUSTICE.
Do you agree that all verses below are still relevant or applicable in the present day ?
STONE TO DEATH PUNISHMENT.
From Bible.
If, however, the charge is true and no proof of the young woman’s virginity can be found, she shall be brought to the door of her father’s house and there the men of her town shall stone her to death. Deuteronomy 22:20-21
If a man is caught in town having intercourse with a girl who is engaged to someone else, stone both of them to death (Deuteronomy. 21)
If someone has a stubborn and rebellious son who does not obey his father and mother and will not listen to them when they discipline him, his father and mother shall take hold of him and bring him to the elders at the gate of his town. They shall say to the elders, “This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious. He will not obey us. He is a glutton and a drunkard.” Then all the men of his town are to stone him to death. You must purge the evil from among you. All Israel will hear of it and be afraid. Deuteronomy 21:18-21
Christianity and Judaism do not use these ancient laws anymore, they change it with Jail sentence or use electrical tools or Chemicals, in order a victim do not feel pain for a long times.
But Extremist Muslim such as; Taliban, Al Qaida, Isis still use the ancient punishment as we see in Syria, Iraq etc.
From Al Quran;
1. Eat the spoils of war.
Now enjoy what ye have won, as lawful and good, and keep your duty to Allah. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. QS 8;69
2. Raping a woman who lost the battle.
Save from their wives or the (slaves) that their right hands possess, for then they are not blameworthy, (6) QS 23;4-6 QS. 70;29
4. Cut off the feet,hands, crucifixion.
The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger, and strive with might and main for mischief through the land is: execution, or crucifixion or the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile from the land: that is their disgrace in this world, and a heavy punishment is theirs in the Hereafter.― (QS 5; 33).
5. Hand amputation.
As to the thief, male or female, cut off his or her hands: a retribution for their deed and exemplary punishment from Allah and Allah is Exalted in Power, full of Wisdom. QS 5; (38).
6. Flogging 100 times in public.
The woman and the man guilty of adultery or fornication― flog each of them with a hundred stripes: let not compassion move you in their case, in a matter prescribed by Allah, if ye believe in Allah and the Last Day: and let a party of the Believers witness their punishment. QS 24;(2).
7. Bring 4 witnesses.
Let no man guilty of adultery or fornication marry any but a woman similarly guilty, or an Unbeliever nor let any but such a man or an Unbeliever marry such a woman: to the Believers such a thing is forbidden. QS 24; (3).
Nowadays; it is impossible to find 4 persons to be witness.
There is no beheading punishment, but there is crucifixion,
cut off hands and feet.

Do you ( Muslim Ahmadiyah ) still support this kind of the ancient system of justice, like Saudi, terrorist have been doing till today ?

The first part of your comment is from Bible, So I will not be addressing it.
The answer to the second part is as follows:
1 & 2) The word rape is not used in the Quran. Please check your tendency to mis-quote the Quran, When the prisoners of war came to Muslims, and they included women, then according to the custom of the day Muslims were also allowed to make these women their wives. The Ahmadiyya view is very clear on this subject. Since this practice has been abandoned by all people we also do not follow it.
3 & 4) The punishment of cutting of hands: This is only applicable in extreme cases, only to make an example. It is not a regular punishment for every thief nor it was applied as such during any Islamic government. The cutting of hands and feet or punishment of crucifixion is mentioned in the context of what we call terrorism today. But if you read the verse of the Holy Quran carefully, four punishments have been mentioned for this crime. Any one can be chosen according to the circumstances. One of those punishments is exile. So once again according to circumstances and agreement of the people lesser punishments are available.
5 & 6) Adultery is punishable by 100 lashes but only when there are 4 witnesses. As you agreed that how you can have 4 witnesses? This means that the scope of this punishment is also restricted for the most egregious cases. May be applicable for pornography!!
I am glad that you agree with me that there is no beheading mentioned in the Holy Quran. And the system of justice mentioned in the Holy Quran is superior to anything in other books.
We should understand that the ancient Arab tradition has nothing to do with Islam. Islam is mentioned in the Holy Quran. And we should be very careful in translating the verses of the Holy Quran and not insert our own thoughts and desires in it.
CS—Yes, there is beheading punishment such as;
I shall cast awe into the hearts of those who disbelieve. So, strike at the necks, and strike at every finger-joint of theirs.” (12) That is because they were hostile to Allah and His Messenger; and whoever becomes hostile to Allah and His Messenger, then, Allah is severe at punishment. QS 8:12-(13)
ISIS use this verse to justify his action.
