May the Peace and Blessings of Almighty God be upon you.
The world today presents a picture of turmoil.
The worst possible atrocities are being carried out in the name of Islam.
From forced conversions and killings in the newly formed Islamic state, to the terrorist attacks in Paris, it seems that Islam is a violent religion whose followers are willing to kill for the smallest of reasons. It is with this background in mind that the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association in Sheffield would like to invite you to a symposium entitled ‘Mohammad: A Messenger of Peace’.
The aim of the meeting is to remove the misconceptions associated with Islam in light of the life and practices of the Holy Prophet of Islam (May peace be upon him).
How would have he responded to the mocking cartoons?
What were his teachings about dealing with non-Muslims?
How should Muslims live in western societies?
These are some of the questions we will try and answer through an interactive forum.
The program will start with speeches and presentations highlighting the life of Holy Prophet Muhammad (May peace be upon him) and shedding light on the true teachings of Islam. The Imam of the London Mosque has kindly agreed to be the main speaker on the day, and there will be an opportunity to ask questions about the current religious issues at the end of the session.
As one of the oldest established Muslim communities in UK, we take immense pride in working with local communities throughout the country, and spreading our message of ‘Love for All Hatred for None’.
