India: Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Kolkata Organizes stall in Annual International Kolkata Book Fair
By the Grace of Allah Jamaat Ahmadiyya Kolkata has had the opportunity of organising a stall in the Annual International Kolkata Book Fair since 1977.
This year also from 28 Jan to 8 Feb the International Kolkata Book Fair was a living example of the prophecy of The Holy Quran: “Waizassohofenusherat” (Ch.:Al-Taqwir, V: 11) “And when books are spread abroad”.

This year the theme of the 39th International Kolkata Book Fair was ‘The Great Britain’. Simultaneously countries like America, Bangladesh, Japan, Germany, Turkey and many other countries also put up their stalls at the Book Fair.
60 languages translations of Holy Qur’an
The 38th stall of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat was set up on a grand and splendid way. The Holy Quran was put up on display in 60 languages (National & Foreign) which acted as a cynosure for the people. The visitors bestowed Jamaat with heartiest congratulations for its service towards mankind and its effort towards maintaining peace and instantaneously provided with compliments and eulogies in the ‘Visitors Book’.
Lajna Kolkata distributing Pamphlets
Thousands of pamphlets and leaflets were distributed by Khuddam, Ansar, Lajna & Atfal in various languages.
On one hand where bibliophiles bought hundreds of books from the stall many books were distributed free on a complementary basis like Life of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

A delegation of members visited many other religious, secular and foreign countries stalls and presented them with various books of Jamaat like World Crisis & Pathway to Peace and Life of Muhammad (SAW).
Similarly various esteem personalities like Prof. AmartyaSen (Nobel Laureate & Economist), Mr. Ali Hayder (Author U.K.), Mrs. Sire Sheraze (Author U.K.) were presented with the book World Crisis & Pathway to Peace.
The stall had arrangements for MTA and therefore the Jalsa Salana of Bangladesh was viewed LIVE by stall volunteers and visitors.
The stall and The Holy Quran display was given coverage by various means including big & small organisations covering satellite and press media.
