If Jesus was on a mission to die for the sins of humanity then whoever helps him in the ‘noble cause,’ aught to be a hero, rather than a villain. This is what the Gospel of Judas claims and certainly seems more reasonable and logical than the claim of the canonical Gospels. Does not it?
