Note by the Editor:  In its issue of 24.11.2014 Blazingcatfur.ca   (http://www.blazingcatfur.ca/2014/11/24/germany-corrupt-ahmadiyya-in-the-asylum-business) has levied  baseless allegations against Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat Germany. Few influential local papers also carried the news.  As usual the AMJ Germany issued a strong rebuttal to all the allegations. Following are the salient points of the press release issued by AMJ Germany. Any one wishing to improve the English is welcomed. Defamation of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat, currently popular in the media, requires correction by a careful examination of the facts:

The allegations of smuggling, extortion and fraud against the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat are untenable and baseless.Those well versant, know that the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is a law-abiding and peaceful community. Loyalty to the state and law is an essential part of its faith and constitutes an important foundation of its doctrine. Over 90-year history in Germany, the community never involved in any such act.The baseless insinuations to asylum fraud and extortion from the mirror publisher and the Southwest Broadcasting based on the statements of Ahmadiyya hostile people and just because of this lose all credibility. These people have personal interest in the damage of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. Until recent past all these people had a good relationship with the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat in Germany. However as the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat was given the status of a public corporation, one could find an inexplicable change of attitude among them. Since then, they have launched an unprecedented smear campaign against the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. It is unfortunate that some media representatives also follow these people, without questioning their intentions (which actually is a requirement of journalistic honesty). The accusation that Ahmadiyya would issue its members, in their asylum procedure, certificates to high charitable contributions, is absolutely baseless and totally rejected; it is absurd and mischievous. Once again following details are stated.

Key witness of the SPIEGEL

The cited alleged insider contributions statements prove to be groundless and uncovered in its face value. Luqman Ahmad Tarar, cited as star witness from Spiegel-Verlag, is shift supervisor at a supermarket in Wiesbaden and not a penniless newcomer. The embezzlement of such material information does not demonstrate quality journalism, but of a dubious procedure. His asylum proceedings are pending for over 10 years and have been negotiated before the European Court of Justice. The certificate issued to him has clearly made satisfactory community activity and explicitly states that Mr Tarar pays his dues properly. Own interpretations of the journalists are merely a hunt for sensation. Mr. Tarar fights now against this misrepresentation and distortion of his statements by legal means. Just note the vast majority of the 36,000 members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat in Germany have been naturalized or have permanent resident here. Now if these people had been previously extorted in their asylum procedure of the community to donate, which they would now deter the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat to turn their backs or reporting it to the authorities. Not one such case is known. On the contrary, the commitment of the majority of members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat is very exemplary and unparalleled. The continuous excellent commitment of Ahmadis refutes all those lies that say that the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat had extorted their members. The baseless insinuation by the Head of the Integration Office in Groß-Gerau, Mr Cakir, this system was the “license to print money,” says due to personal resentment. The District Administrator, Mr. Will, drew on May 19, 2014 due to these conditions the emergency brake and distanced himself emphatically from the statements made by Mr Cakir. If one follows his recent statements to other Muslim organizations in the district, as of Mr. Cakir a clear tendency towards Islamophobia is evident and this would speak for his active participation in this anti-Ahmadiyya campaign.  The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat explained on the basis of clear and well-grounded theological opinions that terrorism, extremism and racism are totally opposed to the teachings of Islam. This does not fit into the world view of people with Islamophobic tendencies.

Financial system of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat Germany.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat Germany maintains a well-groomed, transparent contributions and donations register, which is subject to regular official auditing for decades. Among the Muslim organizations, this degree of financial transparency is unique. No tax money and no foreign donors have the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat ever funded. Membership fees amount to 6.25% of the net income voluntarily to be donated and may be reduced or remitted. The actual payments made donations for the mosque, which are already voluntarily are per person per year was about two percent of what was stated in the article; thus, the alleged or quoted amounts merely to be far from reality just to disguise the innocent people. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community regularly and comprehensively reviewed by the tax authorities. Especially for recognition as a public corporation it was thoroughly reviewed by the intelligence, the Ministries of the Interior, the police and other government authorities. There is not a single case from decades past known where these authorities would have had to suspect something serious.

Certificate of commitment by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community

The asylum procedure of Ahmadis is not subject to any certificates, but his/her individual religious activity that endangers him, for the individual hazard potential is related to the apparent religiosity of the person concerned in Pakistan together.  Neither the favour of the incumbent, nor the commitment of asylum seekers play a crucial role in the trial, but the individually detectable risk and the degree of religious restrictions. The certificate is only one possibility, which is acknowledged by all European courts as evidence of religious commitment. For the issue of a certificate, the religious commitment a variety of criteria based on: participation in the Friday prayer, general contact with the local community, visiting the mosque, do work of a ritual prayers, participation in local and central events, payment of income-related dues (reduction or remission possible), contact with the authorities responsible for the member organization, whether the exercise of a volunteering or other voluntary work for the community, etc. The criteria are known to the courts. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is committed to the true data. Finally, the court judges. In a few cases, asylum seekers trying to falsely pretend membership of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat in order to seek refugee status.  On disclosure the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat notify the appropriate authorities immediately.

Number of Ahmadiyya refugees

Escape of members to religious persecution mainly from Pakistan dates back over 40 years. This form of persecution must in particular be trivialized in Germany never. From a total of up to 200,000 refugees per year, which currently receives Germany, were 716 people in 2013 and 329 people in the first 10 months of 2014 members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. Only 10 (ten) of these 1,055 persons before their flight to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat converted (<1%). These statistics show the absurdity of the allegation, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat would incite other people with the promise of asylum in Germany for conversion and so do business. Mosques of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat do not serve anywhere in Germany for the accommodation of refugees. The refugees contact the community on if they are assigned an official residence. There is also a free choice of lawyers. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat provides nationwide special work for the integration of its members, who come as refugees in the Federal Republic of Germany. Suggestion for the use of local language learning opportunities are just as important as motivation to integrate into the labour market. The local communities are trying to offer help for each refugee.

Communication with authorities

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat Germany has more than four decades regular communication with the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees and the Foreign Office. To date, not a single complaint has been reported with a case of fraud or for testing reaction by both offices. In this respect, the offices refer in the statements to the allegations from the press, Ahmadiyya refers to its previous opinions. Actual cases that were in processing, are not known to community. In the media several times it been mentioned that it would determine the “environment” of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. Would have been some truth to the allegations, it would certainly have taken concrete action by the authorities after themselves.

Persecution in Pakistan

The life actively professing Ahmadi Muslims in Pakistan is affected in such a way that they fear for their life and limb every day. This has been repeatedly stated by the bodies of the UN, EU, USA, and organizations such as Amnesty International, Asian Human Rights Commission, etc. The bloody attacks on Ahmadiyya mosques in 2010, where more than 80 Ahmadis were killed, and the continuing discrimination and persecution have a manageable wave of refugees set in motion, but which is now subsided again, as the figures show clearly. The Administrative Court of Baden-Württemberg has described in his judgment of 12.06.2013 the difficult situation of Ahmadi Muslims in these words: “In the opinion of the Senate Ahmadis are now placed in a situation in which they as good reasons in traditional medieval sense can be referred to outlaw ‘. “
