Newly appointed Ameer and Missionary in charge of Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission, Ghana, Maulvi Alhaji Mohammed Bin Salih has visited the Eastern Region to officially meet members and interact with important personalities in the region.

At a durbar in his honour, the Ameer admonished Ahmadis to build bridges and strengthen existing ones that would foster peace among other religious bodies and establish a stronger Muslim community. He was of the view that Ahmadis should translate their brotherly love and affection into activities that would bring peace to Ghana.

“Members should take the challenge to be peaceful, patriotic, disciplined, united, say no to corruption to turn around the fortunes of the country,” he added.

The Eastern Regional Minister, Hon. Antwi-Boasiako Sekyere welcomed the Ameer of Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission to the region. He stated that his appointment after the demise of Maulvi Wahab Bin Adam had shown a path of peace to be emulated.

“You should strive for the entire world to unite. I urge you to maintain peace and security to ensure development in our country and beyond,” he reiterated.

The Minister assured Ahmadis and all religious bodies of government support for the socio-economic development of the country. He added that government would continue to subsidize the organization of the Annual Hajj Pilgrimage to ensure orderliness and fairness.

Alhaji Mustapha Oti Boateng, the Eastern Regional President of Ahmadiyya Mission, remarked that the appointment of the new leader would have a positive impact on global peace.

He assured Maulvi Alhaji Mohammed Bin Salih of the continued support of members to ensure an impressive growth in the Ahmadiyya Muslim community in the region.

The Member of Council of State and Adontihene of New Juaben, Nana Kodua Kese urged Ahmadis to endeavor to educate their children for a better future.
