Burton, UK: Ahmadiyya Muslim Association celebrated Holy Founders Day at the Caribbean Centre

FAITH leaders and 100 guests packed out a Burton function centre to hear about Muslim community group.

The town’s branch of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association celebrated Holy Founders Day at the Caribbean Centre, in Uxbridge Street.

East Staffordshire mayor Michael Rodgers attended with Mayoress Julie Killoran as the chief guests.

A 10-minute video presentation introduced the association to the congregation.

This was followed by Christian, Sikh, Jain, Hindu and Muslim speakers who explained their teachings and faiths.

A presentation of chocolates was made to the Children’s Ward of Queen’s Hospital and a large collection of food was donated to the Salvation Army.

A cheque was also presented to the Mayor’s chosen charity, MacMillan Cancer Support.
