Distinguished guests from the armed forces, police and voluntary organisations gathered together on Saturday for Slough’s annual peace symposium.
Organised by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community (AMC) Slough, it was the 10th symposium to take place in the town.
Taking place at The Langley Academy, the theme of this year’s event was to spread the group’s message of ‘Love for All, Hatred for None.‘
President of the AMC, Atiq Ahmad Bhatti, said: “This year we have witnessed that no matter what our difference, what unites all faith, all peoples, all organisations, is that we share in the message Love for All, Hatred for None.”
About 250 people attended the event in Langley Road, which also included Slough MP, Fiona Mactaggart, and the Mayor of Slough, Cllr Balvinder Bains.
Addressing the symposium, he said the Ahmadiyya community was at the forefront of promoting peace and harmony amongst all.
