31. Remember Allah with much remembrance

31.    Remember Allah with much remembrance

[33:42] O ye who believe! remember Allah with much remembrance;

Explanation: The remembrance of God will play a great part in the wonderful revolution that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) will bring about among his people by his noble example.

[8:46] O ye who believe! when you encounter an army, remain firm, and remember Allah much that you may prosper.

[7:206] And remember thy Lord in thy mind with humility and fear, and without loudness of speech, in the mornings and evenings; and be not of the neglectful.

[2:153] Therefore remember Me, and I will remember you; and be thankful to Me and do not be ungrateful to Me.

Explanation: Remembrance of God on the part of man means, to remember Him with love and devotion, to carry out His commands, to bear in mind His attributes, to glorify Him and offer prayers to Him. And remembrance of man on the part of God signifies, God’s drawing man near to Himself, bestowing favours upon him and making provision for his welfare.

[29:46] Recite that which has been revealed to thee of the Book, and observe Prayer. Surely, Prayer restrains one from indecency and manifest evil, and remembrance of Allah indeed is the greatest virtue. And Allah knows what you do.

[2:199] It is no sin for you that you seek the bounty of your Lord. But when you pour forth from ‘Arafat, remember Allah at Mash‘ar al- Haram; and remember Him as He has guided you, although, before this, you were of those gone astray.

[3:42] He said, ‘My Lord, appoint a token for me.’ He replied, ‘Thy token shall be that thou shalt not speak to men for three days except by signs. And remember thy Lord much and glorify Him in the evening and in the early morning.’

[3:192] Those who remember Allah while standing, sitting, and lying on their sides, and ponder over the creation of the heavens and the earth: “Our Lord, Thou hast not created this in vain; nay, Holy art Thou; save us, then, from the punishment of the Fire.

[87:15] Verily, he truly prospers who purifies himself, [87:16] And remembers the name of his Lord and offers Prayers.

[62:11] And when the Prayer is finished, then disperse in the land and seek of Allah’s grace, and remember Allah much, that you may prosper.
